  • 2 cups fresh string beans washed and trimmed
  • 1 Non-stick pan or wok
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Sharp knife
  • 1 Spatula or wooden spoon
  • 1 Mixing bowl

Method

Pat the tofu dry using a paper towel and cut it into cubes. This helps it absorb flavors better and gives it a firmer texture when cooked.

In a non-stick pan or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.

Add grated ginger and a pinch of asafetida (hing). Stir gently for about 30 seconds until aromatic.

Add the tofu cubes and lightly pan-fry until they turn golden on all sides. This should take about 5–7 minutes.

Add the string beans and bell peppers. Stir-fry for 5–6 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still slightly crisp.

Sprinkle in:
– Five spice powder
– Black pepper
– Paprika powder
– Oregano
– Dill
– Himalayan salt
Mix everything well so the spices coat the tofu and vegetables evenly.

Cook for another 2–3 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend beautifully

Tip

Use firm or extra-firm tofu for best texture Don’t overcook the beans ,keep them slightly crunchy for better taste and nutrition Adjust spices to suit your flavor preference

Notes

Serve this flavorful stir-fry:
With steamed rice alongside quinoa or enjoy it on its own as a light, protein-rich meal.
